About Padakshep

On June 9 year 2020, during the height of the COVID pandemic, 12 like-minded people gathered to decide to do something which may extend help and support to some cause. As a result, an organisation initially named as “PADAKSHEP” [Later registered as “SANTOSHPUR PADAKSHEP”] is formed which started their journey keeping in mind the need for social assistance to the low-income group of the society. In the last few years, the number of members has touched 130! Financial assistance by the members is our source of fund and we express our deep gratitude to them. We strive to sustain, build and extend our reach, impacting more and more lives through our dedicated programs.

Padakshep

On this path we stepped a foot forward i.e. the Padakshep. It was a small PADAKSHEP for our society, who envisaged the belief that we could bring some positives for future development of the society. The most important lesson the pandemic had taught us is, more than anything else in the world, we need people in our lives. We have learnt in the hard way to work together, embrace uncertainty, stick together, listen together, and have time for people who matter in our life. We believed that was the time to accept the challenges to help, support, develop and rebuild our society which culminated in the formation of SANTOSHPUR PADAKSHEP a non-profitable charitable non-government society with their registered address at 9, Eastern Park 3rd Road, Santoshpur, Kolkata – 700075.

In the last 6 years of journey Padakshep mostly worked on 3 areas:

  • School infrastructure Development for primary education
  • Creating Self Employment opportunities for Women
  • Organising medical camps, blood donation camps and assisting trusted organisation working for old age.

Apart these, recently Padakshep have also decided to engage in supporting Vocational Training Students and actively pursuing the same.

Objective and Mission

Objective: Undertake programs for improvement of lives particularly children, women, and aged without any discrimination.

Mission: To service the community to inspire hope and promote better livelihood.
