PROJECT- “SAMPOORNA”
Padakshep members were deliberating ideas how they can support the women group to enable learning, create employment opportunities for themselves or become employable. Social and economic scenarios are changing fast and there is a great space to be filled and that needs learning&skill development,especially for women coming from lower strata of the society. Sampoorna program was incubated, members within Padakshep who has special skills in craftsmanship came up and became an enabler of this program. However, we needed space to conduct these trainings! Netaji Sangha Club,Santoshpur, offered their club room for free,to conduct our training program.Padakshep remains indebted to the club management for their great generosity and support.
Sampoorna started its journey and never looked back. Till now, in last 4years’90+Sampoorna students are enrolled and various training programs were conducted in the field of Beautician, Jewellery, Needlework, Mehndi painting, Bridal makeup, Embroidery etc. In-house Padakshep trainers, as well a Professional paid trainers were brought in, to conduct special trainings. Students passing out, later became Trainers themselves, and few started earning on their own working in private start-ups. Padaskheptakes great pride with the success of their students and takes special care in all Sampoorna programs.Recently this Financial year we started another outlet for Sampoorna Training at Swami Vivekananda Seva Samity, Anandapur.And the Sampoorna journey continues..
